History

Contrast Media has always been a key strategic area for iMAX Diagnostic Imaging Ltd.

With the strategic decision in 2011 to differentiate the Contrast Media business of a traditional API player, capitalizing from its long term experience of manufacturing high quality generic Contrast Agents APIs, iMAX Diagnostic Imaging Ltd. was established in Ireland with the objective to enter into the Finished Drug Formulation (FDF) generic Contrast Media market with full integration of the supply chain from raw materials chemical engineering post processing to FDF manufacturing, packaging and distribution to patient.

In 2018, iMAX Diagnostic Imaging Ltd. was acquired by Starry Pharmaceutical Group (listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange), capitalizing again on nearly 30 years’ experience, in China, in R&D, manufacturing and sales of high-quality generic Contrast Agents APIs and FDF.

iMAX Diagnostic Imaging Ltd. manufactures its Contrast Agents API in Starry Pharmaceutical Group established facilities in China and FDF in EU, in its established facilities or in CMO manufacturing partners, allowing for a competitive advantage on the market.
